An Emirati sailor aims to be part of the next Olympic Games; after a rough training, he acquired new learnings from San Francisco, USA professionals.
In an exclusive interview of Khaleej Times with Hamza Al Ali, one of the UAE’s champion sailors, he said he loves sailing and is looking forward to participating in top international competitions. He added that his target is to join the Olympics Games in 2024 to raise the UAE flag.
“I was looking forward to working with the best athletes in sailing, and thank God it really happened,” he said.
Aside from sailing, Ali is also pursuing a media course at the Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi. This Emirati youngster comes from a big family of 33 siblings.
In addition to working with the SailGP organizers on event management, photography, videography, and marketing, the young Emirati experienced what a professional sailing career can offer off the water.
