In the midst of the ongoing crisis, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the possibility of dialogue between Ukraine and Russia.
On Saturday, Zelensky stated that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had offered to assist in the organization of discussions.
“We can only welcome that,” he said.
The vehement resistance of Ukrainian troops preventing Russia from entering the country’s capital Kyiv has slowed Russian military forces, who are becoming agitated.
The US has also promised to send more troops to fight Russian forces in the coming days.
According to a Russian military official, they have been given orders to expand military operations in Kyiv.
