
UAE’s Asma Alhosani made history at the Asian Games, becoming the country’s first woman to secure a gold medal in martial arts.
In the jiu-jitsu competitions at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, the UAE National Jiu-Jitsu Team won three more medals – one gold and two bronze. Asma Alhosani’s gold was the third for the UAE in Hangzhou.



Shamsa Alameri and Mahdi Alawlaqi also secured bronze medals, marking a successful day for the UAE delegation. The National Jiu-Jitsu Team, sponsored by Mubadala Investment Company, now has a total of seven medals.
