UAE’s ‘Accident-Free Day’ initiative  offers deduction of 4 black traffic points

The Federal Traffic Council in the UAE has launched a positive initiative called “Accident-Free Day,” offering a deduction of 4 black traffic points to individuals who actively participate.

This campaign encourages people to commit to not having any traffic violations or accidents on a designated day. To claim the deduction, participants need to sign a pledge available through specified social media accounts and official websites. The initiative aims to raise awareness about road safety and promote accident-free days.

Brig. General Engineer Hussain Ahmed Al Harthy, Chair of the Federal Traffic Council, highlighted that this initiative is part of the broader efforts in the nation’s traffic sector to enhance participation and road safety awareness.

He emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and promoting awareness consistently. Participants who successfully follow the commitment will have 4 black traffic points deducted from their records.

This initiative reflects the UAE’s commitment to its leadership vision and sustainable development goals by collaborating with various entities to achieve safer roads.
