Residents of the United Arab Emirates are likely to enjoy a five-day holiday starting April 30 in celebration of Eid Al Fitr, which is expected to occur on May 2.
Possible five-day weekend will be:
- April 30 (Saturday)
- May 1 (Sunday)
- May 2 (Monday- Eid)
- May 3 (Tuesday)
- May 4 (Wednesday)
According to EAS’s Chairman, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, the first day of Shawwal (which is also the first day of Eid Al Fitr) will fall on Monday, May 2.
