The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has partnered with du, a part of the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), to introduce the Happiness SIM.
This special SIM card offers exclusive benefits to blue-collar workers at affordable rates. Workers can obtain the SIM by visiting business service centers, guidance centers, or using MoHRE’s online services for work contract issuance or renewal.
It provides 6 months of complimentary data and reduced rates for international calls. SIM holders will also receive important notifications from MoHRE. Ayesha Belharfia, MoHRE’s Acting Undersecretary for Emiratisation Affairs and Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing that it aligns with their mission to enhance the welfare of blue-collar workers by providing them with affordable and reliable connectivity.
CEO of du, Fahad Al Hassawi, highlighted their aim to meet the telecom needs of workers, especially blue-collar workers, and to enhance their experience in the UAE. The goal is to facilitate easier and more connected lives while helping them save money for their families back home.
