The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) offers visa-free travel privileges to over 80 countries, as reported by Al Khaleej. However, citizens from 115 countries are still required to obtain pre-approved visas before entering the UAE.
MoFA underscores the importance of checking their official website for specific visa details and staying informed about entry requirements.
Citizens from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries can enter the UAE without a visa or sponsor, needing only to present a passport issued by a GCC nation or their ID card upon arrival.
International travelers from various countries are granted entry visas for either 30 days with a 10-day grace period or 90 days, depending on their country of origin.
Indian citizens holding specific criteria, such as a US visit visa or resident card, a UK or EU resident visa, can get a 14-day visa on arrival, extendable for another 14 days if needed.
For those not under the visa exemption or visa-on-arrival categories, an entry permit from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) is necessary before arriving in the UAE.
The UAE passport ranks as the world’s most powerful on the Passport Index website, providing access to 180 countries, with 127 not requiring a prior visa and 53 offering electronic visas or visas upon airport arrival.
