At least 870 people were rescued by emergency teams after flash floods in the UAE’s Northern Emirates, the government said.
According to the government, there is no casualties recorded during the flash floods. And atleast 870 people were rescued by the emergency team in the Northern Emirates.
There were 3,897 people were placed under a temporary shelter in Sharjah and Fujairah and will remain there until further notice.
According to the National Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Management Authority (Ncema), 20 hotels in those areas can accommodate an additional 1,885 people if necessary.
According to weather officials, Wednesday’s deluge made July this year’s wettest on record.
