The UAE is considering hosting the world’s first flying car race, set just 5 meters above ground. The flying racing car, priced at AED7.34 million, boasts a maximum speed of 250 km/h and zero CO2 emissions.
Christian Pineau, CEO of Maca Flight, the French company behind the hydrogen-powered flying car, revealed plans to create a real flying racing car championship, with the UAE as a top potential host.
The vehicle, developed independently from Airbus, is expected to enter presale in a couple of months. Pineau anticipates launching the championship by the end of 2025, with interest from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
The company is in the process of obtaining regulatory approvals to ensure a smooth and safe operation.
