The UAE cycling team was greeted warmly upon their return from the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China, where they won a historic bronze medal.
Ahmed Al Mansoori created history as he became the first Emirati cyclist to win an Asian Games medal. Khalifa Yousef Bin Omair, Vice President of the UAE Cycling Federation, and other officials greeted the team with flowers and shouts.
They were overjoyed with their accomplishment and believe it will pave the way for even greater success in the future. In addition, Abdullah Jasem’s impressive effort, finishing seventh in the very challenging men’s 200km road race against a field that featured multiple Olympic medalists, was recognised.
