The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a code-orange rain notice in several locations. The orage signal indicates that hazardous weather is likely, and inhabitants are encouraged to cooperate with authorities.
The Abu Dhabi Police Department advised motorists to exercise caution owing to damp roads caused by rainy weather.
The eastern sections of the country are still reeling from last week’s record-breaking downpour, which killed seven people, wrecked highways and other infrastructure, and caused enormous property damage.
According to the NCM’s weather prediction, wet convective clouds in the east may expand to certain interior and southern locations. Winds of up to 45kmph are expected to whip up dust tomorrow, August 1.
