The Higher Organising Committee of the ongoing Sheikh Zayed Festival at Abu Dhabi’s Al Wathba showgrounds has unveiled an exciting New Year’s special program. Packed with events, shows, folkloric performances, and international art displays, the celebration promises a cultural and entertaining spectacle set to attract millions of visitors, residents, and tourists from around the world.
Highlights of the New Year’s Extravaganza:
Largest Firework Display: The festival boasts the largest and most extravagant firework display lasting over 60 minutes, aiming to break four Guinness World Records in terms of quantity, time, and design intricacy.
Drone Show Record: Over 5,000 drones will create intricate patterns in the Al Wathba skies, setting a new regional record.
First-of-its-Kind Laser Show: A massive laser show is planned, marking a first-of-its-kind event in the region.
Cultural and Civilizational Performances: The festival will feature special presentations by the Emirates Fountain, Glowing Towers Garden, various pavilions, and numerous cultural and civilizational performances from around the world.
Record-Breaking Fireworks: The Sheikh Zayed Festival aims to break three new Guinness World Records with a 60-minute continuous firework display, offering visitors a unique experience as they welcome the first moments of 2024.
Drone Shows and Laser Spectacles: Visitors will witness a dazzling drone show with over 5,000 drones and enjoy a major laser show, both setting new Guinness World Records. The Emirates Fountain will also contribute to the festive atmosphere with laser and music shows.

The Sheikh Zayed Festival invites visitors daily until March 9, 2024, offering a joyful and memorable outdoor experience with events, activities, and competitions suitable for all age groups. Weekdays see operations from 16:00 to midnight, and on weekends and public holidays, the festival remains open until 01:00.
