H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has visited the Yad Vashem, the world Holocaust remembrance centre, which is the greatest source for Holocaust education, documentation and research.
Upon their arrival, the Chairman of Yad Vashem Dani Dayan welcomed H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and the delegation.
Sheikh Abdullah was briefed on the centre, which was established in 1953 as a research and educational centre to commemorate the Holocaust. It includes museums, exhibitions, memorials, research and educational centres, in addition to libraries and archives.
The UAE Foreign Minister praised the role of this historical complex, which reflects the importance of working to promote and spread the values of tolerance and coexistence among peoples, establishing peace, and supporting peoples’ aspirations for a decent life and prosperity.
