The seventh installment of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is scheduled to commence on October 28th, running through November 26th, 2023. Spearheaded by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, this initiative aims to elevate Dubai into one of the world’s most active cities.
DFC motivates the entire Dubai community to embrace a healthier lifestyle by dedicating 30 minutes to daily exercise for 30 days, offering a dynamic schedule of activities and events. Launched in 2017, DFC represents an annual inclusive fitness movement that showcases Dubai’s robust sports and fitness infrastructure, inspiring residents to adopt enduring healthy routines.
Last year’s edition recorded an impressive 2.2 million participants, featuring flagship events on Sheikh Zayed Road that attracted nearly 35,000 cyclists for the Dubai Ride and 193,000 runners for the Dubai Run.
This year, the Dubai Ride is scheduled for Sunday, November 12th, while the Dubai Run will conclude the challenge on Sunday, November 26th. Both events will provide families, recreational cyclists, runners, and fitness enthusiasts with a unique opportunity to traverse Dubai’s iconic landmarks along Sheikh Zayed Road while cycling, running, jogging, or walking.
