0

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) is showcasing two major tourist attractions alongside its Hydroelectric Power Plant in Hatta: the Hatta Sustainable Waterfalls project and a 5.4-kilometer long cable car to Um Al-Nesoor summit.

The waterfalls project, designed with a hexagonal beehive shape, pays homage to the UAE’s founding fathers and incorporates sustainable practices, including recycling water for the hydro power plant.

The cable car route offers breathtaking views of Hatta Dam Lake and Um Al-Nesoor, the highest natural summit in Dubai.

The Hydroelectric Power Plant is expected to be operational within a year, contributing 250 megawatts to Dubai’s clean energy goals. The projects aim to promote sustainability, eco-tourism, and local economic growth in the Hatta region.

A 39-year-old father who has been working as control room operator at a Fujairah oil and gas company for the past 11 years has his life changed forever after winning AED20 million in the latest Mahzooz draw held Saturday, November 11.

Sreeju, who is from India and a father of six-year-old twins, was still visibly in disbelief as he was presented to media at the Mahzooz office in Business Bay on November 16 – five days after he was informed that he won the whopping amount.

Asked about his plans, Sreeju expressed his desire to make his dream come true by purchasing a home in India without any financial liabilities. He, however, said he hasn’t finalized plans for the remaining winnings as he faces the delightful challenge of deciding what to do with his newfound wealth.

Expressing his initial reactions, Sreeju recounted, “I was speechless, shocked, and surprised to know that I won, not just a prize, but the top prize of AED 20,000,000.

I was in my car about to drive around when I checked my Mahzooz account, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was confused about what to do when I saw my winnings. I waited for that call from Mahzooz to confirm that my winning was true.”

He continues, “I’ve been participating in Mahzooz from the beginning, for the past three years, twice every month. I never skipped a month because the hope that I will win someday kept me going. I did not expect to be a winner this time, at least not the AED 20 million!”

Speaking at the press conference, Suzan Kazzi, Head of Communications and CSR at Mahzooz, said: We congratulate Sreeju on his historic win and we are delighted to witness another life being positively transformed through Mahzooz’s generous prizes.

“To date, our weekly draws have created 64 millionaires, and distributed close to half a billion dirhams to more than 1,107,000 winners, adding an incredibly positive spin to their stories of victory.”

A firm believer in perseverance, Sreeju had a message for all Mahzooz participants, stating, “Keep on trying, and there will be one day when you will win like me.” Despite his newfound fortune, Sreeju said he intends to continue his job in the UAE, where he enjoys driving around in his free time.

For only AED 35, participants can purchase a bottle of Mahzooz Saturday Millions water and enter the weekly draws consisting of the Grand Draw, for a chance to win the top prize of AED 20,000,000, the second prize of 150,000, the third prize of AED 150,000, the fourth prize of free Mahzooz line worth AED 35 and the fifth prize of AED 5, as well as the Triple 100 weekly raffle draw, which will grant AED 100,000 every week to three GUARANTEED raffle winners.

Mahzooz continues to bring joy, dreams, and hope to individuals worldwide, as it seeks to transform lives and fulfill aspirations with each weekly draw.
