Dubai, UAE: The Meydan Hotel, Dubai’s most discerning five-star hotel, will be lighting up its iconic wave form in red, from Feb. 4 to 9, 2021 in support of the Hope Probe reaching Mars’ orbit on Feb. 9, 2021.
The colossal milestone is set to make the UAE just the fifth nation to reach the red planet – after the United States, the former Soviet Union, India, and the European Space Agency.
To commemorate this major achievement in space travel for the region, The Meydan Hotel will be proudly lighting up its wave façade in red counting down to the rover reaching Mars’ surface and showing their national spirit.
Shaped in the form of a wave in motion and seamlessly blending straight lines with flowing curves, the 1.8km long all-glass façade of the hotel will be illuminated from 6pm till 12 am in support of this historic occasion for the UAE and the Arab world.
