His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai, has issued Law No. 9 of 2022 regulating the provision of digital service in the emirate of Dubai.
The Law states to accelerate the emirate’s digital transformation, enhance the provision of digital services and promote the technologically advancement among public and private sectors.
Digital services must be provided by government entities, judicial authorities, including the Dubai Public Prosecution and Dubai Courts. The Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai will issue a decision on the various stages of implementing the Law, in line with the recommendations of the Digital Dubai Authority.
This Law is effective from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
