If you’re hitting the road this weekend in Dubai, be prepared for diversions and delays as the annual Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge returns. Scheduled for Saturday, Feb 22, and Sunday, Feb 23, the event, known as the oldest organized cycleride in the UAE, will prompt road closures from 6 am to 9.45 am.
Motorists can anticipate disruptions on various key roads, including Hessa Street, Dubai Expo City, Al Qudra Road, Umm Suqeim, and Al Asayel Street. Here’s a breakdown of the closures:
Saturday, February 22: From 6.15 am to 9.30 am, there will be no access to D54 Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nayan to Expo City Dubai direction or from Expo City Dubai D54 Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nayan Road.
Sunday, February 23: Several closures will be in effect from 6.10 am to 9.50 am, including no access to D54 Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nayan or the passing of the traffic circle Al Qudra Road / Umm Suqeim & D54 Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nayan, no access to Hessa Street from 6.50 am to 8.40 am, and no access to Al Asayel Street from 7.00 am to 9.30 am.
