The Public Prosecution (PP) said that beggars shall be sentenced to detention for a term up to three months and a fine of not less than AED5,000 if caught.
According to Public Prosection (PP), beggars will be sentenced to jail for three months and a fin of not less than AED5,000.
This decree is under the Article 475 of Federal Law No. 31 of 2021 that concerns crimes and law penalties. PP tweeted “ whoever is caught begging to obtain a physical or in-kind benefit by any for or means.”
