The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) unveiled a new bridge on Saturday that connects Al Manama and Al Meydan Streets and crosses the Dubai Al Ain Road.
The previous roundabout at this intersection has been removed, and the RTA has rectified the slanting ends of the existing Al Meydan Street bridges.
The bridge is 328 meters long and has four lanes in each direction, with a capacity of 16,000 cars per hour. The bridge’s sloping ends span 400 meters.
The new bridge connecting Al Manama and Al Meydan Streets is part of RTA’s Dubai-Al Ain Road Improvement Project, according to Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority.
