Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister said that education is one of the country’s top priorities. It is in support with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s vision to advance the education system.
Education has always been a key foundation of the process of national development since the era of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, he added, noting that the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has followed this approach in prioritising the Emirati education system.
Sheikh Mansour then lauded the award’s leading role in promoting the culture of excellence in education, both locally and regionally.
He made this statement during a ceremony held by the award to honour 35 winners (18 from UAE and 17 from Arab countries) of its 15th edition, which was held in the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, with the attendance of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Award, on behalf of Sheikh Mansour.
