Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan had taken a keen interest in developing the system in the UAE.
According to the report of Khaleej Times, the GCC Rail Network is building networks among countries. The 2,177 km GCC- wide railway can be connected to different Arab countries in the near future. Therefore, passengers can use Abu Dhabi to travel between Kuwait City and Muscat.
Suhail Al Mazrouei, the UAE’s Minister of Energy and Infrastructure emphasis that the railway network is underway in its construction.
He also added that, “We are aiming at the GCC to continue this dream of interconnecting our countries, where our citizens will be travelling throughout the GCC using our reliable state-of-the-art railway network. And we are working with our brothers in the GCC, to even in the future, build on it an interlink with Arab countries and expand the future GCC network. This will enable us to reduce the emission but also control the cost in the future.”
