During the closure of runways for renovation this May by Dubai Airports, the air carrier flydubai will operate from Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). 

According to the report, the runway is scheduled for renovation for 45 days during the summer season. It is primarily scheduled from the 9th of May until June 22. 

In the announcement of flydubai, the flights will operate in 34 different travel destinations from DWC, while other destinations will still operate from Terminals 2 and 3 of DXB.
