In the Chadian city of Umm Jaras, an Emirati humanitarian team has distributed 200 heads of cattle to the less fortunate in the Hilla area of the city.
This action is part of ongoing relief initiatives conducted by the team and aims to fulfill essential needs of families. In addition to the cattle distribution, over the past few days, the team has provided 188 food baskets to benefit more than 1,128 families residing in the same region.Â
The humanitarian team comprises the Coordination Office for UAE Foreign Aid, Emirates Red Crescent, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
The UAE’s commitment to offering food and medical support to the region’s residents, including refugees and the local community in Chad, is emphasized by Ali Mohamed Al-Breiki, Director of the UAE Aid Coordination Office in Chad.
The Mayor of Umm Jaras, Abboud Hashim Bedeir, expressed gratitude for the UAE’s support, highlighting the efforts of the Emirati team in addressing the needs of both Sudanese refugees and the local population.
