Emirati field hospital in Chad provides medical care to over 12,000 patients

Since its inauguration on July 9, 2022, the Emirati field hospital in Amdjarass, Chad, has provided medical services to over 12,367 cases, including Sudanese refugees and Chadian locals.

The hospital, established under the guidance of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has conducted over 178 surgical procedures.

It operates through the collaboration of three UAE humanitarian organizations and aims to assist Chad in dealing with the humanitarian impact of the large influx of refugees.

The hospital covers an area of 200 square meters and has a capacity of 50 beds, expandable to double that number. It operates 24/7 with a specialized medical team and modern equipment.

Additionally, mobile clinics continue to provide medical services to patients who cannot reach the field hospital.
