According to the report of Al Khaleej, as per the circular issued by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Costumes, and Port Security, the residents’ Emirates ID would be enough to count as their residency since the ID has all the information.
Airlines will be able to verify the residency is completed through passport and Emirates ID. This program aims to develop the services offered to the people of the UAE.
The new circular will be effective for documents of residency after April 11.
