Emirates Group in Dubai has announced an extensive recruitment campaign to hire professionals for various roles, including pilots, cabin crew, IT professionals, engineers, and customer services staff. The recruitment drive aims to fill positions within Emirates Airline and dnata, the airport services provider.
Over the past two years, the group has aggressively expanded its workforce, adding 17,160 individuals in the 2022-23 financial year alone, bringing the total number of employees to over 102,000 by March 31, 2023.
Emirates, Dubai’s flagship carrier, is expecting the delivery of new Airbus A350s and Boeing 777-Xs starting in 2024. This expansion necessitates the recruitment of a young and dynamic cabin crew to operate these new aircraft. To expedite the recruitment process, Emirates is organizing open days and invite-only events across six continents, covering numerous cities throughout the year, to attract top talent.
The recruitment process is designed to be completed within a day, and candidates can expect to be contacted within 48 hours of the assessment.
In July, Emirates will hold walk-in interviews in more than two dozen cities worldwide, including locations in the GCC, Pakistan, Africa, and Latin America. Currently, the airline’s cabin crew community represents over 140 nationalities and speaks approximately 130 languages, making it the largest international airline cabin crew community.
Candidates interested in applying can attend the open days without submitting an application beforehand. However, it is advised to carefully review the requirements and arrive at the open day venue on time for registration.
For certain locations like Astana (Kazakhstan) and Russia, Emirates has advised candidates to apply online or collaborate with its appointed agency, Global Vision. In Dubai, recruitment events are held weekly, and candidates can also apply online.
Eligibility criteria for cabin crew roles include fluency in written and spoken English (additional languages are advantageous), a minimum height of 160cm with the ability to reach 212cm, meeting the UAE’s employment visa requirements, at least one year of hospitality/customer service experience, a minimum high school education, and no visible tattoos while in uniform.
Cabin crew members receive a basic monthly salary of AED4,430, flying pay of AED63.75 per hour, work approximately 80-100 flying hours per month, and have an average total salary of AED10,170. Accommodation and transportation to and from the airport are provided.
Emirates’ recruitment efforts aim to attract talented individuals from diverse backgrounds to join their dynamic cabin crew team and support the airline’s growth and expansion plans.
