Eid Al Fitr is likely to begin on May 2, the Emirates Astronomical Society (EAS) announced today.
According to Ibrahim Al Jarwan, the board chairman of EAS, the first Shawwal is predicted to fall on Monday, May 2, 2022.
The sighting of the moon in the UAE will determine the official starting date for Eid.
