According to the authorities’ report, residents will be allowed to use e-scooters in 10 districts in Dubai beginning from April 13, Wednesday.
The General Headquarters of Dubai Police permits the electric scooters to operate in the designated cycling tracks in 10 districts. Under Resolution Number 13 of 2022, it was endorsed by Shiekh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.
RTA said that the initial locations cover the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai Internet City, Al Rigga, December 2 Street, The Palm Jumeirah, and the City Walk.
The resolution will also cover specific safe zones of Al Quasais, Al Mankholl, and Al Karama. Residents and E-scooters owners can visit the RTA website (www.rta.ae) for more information and soon to obtain permits for using e-scooters.
