According to Airports Council International Asia-Pacific and Middle East’s (ACI APAC & MID) Airport Connectivity Report, Dubai International (DXB) is the best airport for connectivity in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East region.
The study reveals a significant 26% increase in air connectivity in the Middle East between 2022 and 2019, with direct flights to North America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa exhibiting excellent post-Covid-19 recovery. Low-Cost Carriers (LCCs) are credited with this rise.
Asia-Pacific, on the other hand, had a 38% loss in air connectivity during the same time period. DXB’s CEO, Paul Griffiths, took delight in this accomplishment and reaffirmed the company’s dedication to providing smooth connections everywhere.
The research, which was created in partnership with PwC, evaluates how easily passengers may access the world’s air transportation system, taking into account both direct and indirect connections as well as the quality of each link in terms of things like available destinations, service frequency, and cost.
Through more than 90 foreign airlines, DXB is connected to more than 255 locations in 104 different countries.
