A 20-year-old Filipino football player named Shane Neil Clemente relocated to Dubai from a country where basketball is the national sport to pursue his love of football. He originally lacked some technical ability, but he discovered a welcoming environment at Dubai’s Al Ittifaq Football Club. With the assistance of a personal trainer, he quickly improved his abilities, going from playing for barely 15 minutes to 90 minutes straight. He received a lot of advice and assistance from his older brother.
Clemente’s development as a player was aided by the multicultural football environment in Dubai as well as the training he got at Al Ittifaq FC. His role was altered from forward to fullback, which greatly improved his skills. After moving to Dubai, he signed a contract with the Spanish team Deportivo Llosetense a year later.
Clemente’s career continued in Spain, when he joined the under-22 squad of Deportivo Llosetense. Despite losing his debut game, he made an impression with his abilities and commitment. His objective is to succeed with the squad of under-22 athletes and get to the senior level. He also wants to play in the best leagues in the US, the Middle East, and Europe. He attributes his ability to repair himself and follow his aspirations to Dubai, his Filipino community, and his brother.
