The Public Prosecution in Dubai has warned the public via social media about the serious repercussions of falsifying official papers including visas and residency permits.
Anyone found guilty of falsifying these documents with the intent to breach the law might spend up to 10 years in jail. In addition to document forgers, people who willfully use such counterfeit documents are also subject to this legal penalty.
In the previous year, the UAE dealt with over 10,500 incidents of immigration infractions, including unlawful entrance, fake permits and visas, undocumented employment, overstaying expired visas, and more.
