Dubai unveils groundbreaking AED55-million underwater floating mosque

Dubai has revealed designs for a revolutionary underwater floating mosque worth AED55 million.

The inventive construction will be divided into two parts: one above water with lounging places and a coffee shop, and one below the surface. This world-first mosque will have three storeys, with the underwater level reserved for prayer, and will accommodate 50-75 attendees for a one-of-a-kind spiritual experience.

The submerged area will also have restrooms and ablution facilities. Construction is slated to begin shortly, and while the exact location is unknown, it will be along the beach, accessible through a connecting bridge.

The mosque will be available to people of all religions, with visitors required to dress modestly and follow Islamic rituals.
