The death of the second pilot in the AeroGulf “Bell 212” helicopter crash has been confirmed.
After a thorough search following the disaster, AeroGulf announced the deaths of two pilots in a statement on Sunday. On September 7, 2023, at 8:07 p.m., it occurred during normal training exercises between Al Maktoum International Airport and an offshore rig. The aircraft crashed into the water off the coast of the UAE.
Both pilots were identified as being Egyptian and South African by the General Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates, which had already verified the death of the first pilot. The debris is currently being recovered, and AeroGulf is working with the authorities to determine what caused the accident and help the crew members’ loved ones.
