Saleem Ahmed Khan, an expat from Pakistan, arrived in Dubai in 2009 as a taxi driver. However, his determination and entrepreneurial spirit have propelled him towards success. After working as a taxi driver for four years, Khan seized an opportunity when ride-hailing company Uber launched in Dubai in 2013. He transitioned to a limo company, signed up on the Uber platform, and began saving diligently.
By 2019, Khan had accumulated enough funds to establish his own driver fleet company, King Riders Delivery Services, with 850 employees and branches in Sharjah and Ajman. Now, Khan is venturing into the luxury transport industry, preparing to launch his own limousine company with an initial fleet of 20 vehicles. He aims to expand the fleet to 100 cars by the end of 2023.
Khan’s journey exemplifies the transformative potential of hard work, dedication, and astute financial planning. From earning a modest salary of AED5,000 per month as a taxi driver to owning businesses valued at over AED5 million, Khan’s success story is a testament to the opportunities available in Dubai and the supportive business environment fostered by the government.
