Dubai International Airport (DXB) has issued a peak travel notice for August 26 and 27, anticipating over 500,000 travellers. Several solutions are suggested by the airport operator to speed passport control.
Travellers aged 4 to 12 can use separate passport control stations to get their passports stamped independently. Smart gates are available for families travelling together; passengers over the age of 12 can complete passport control by merely gazing at the green light, eliminating the need to scan papers.
DXB, the world’s busiest international airport, anticipates 3.3 million passengers during the next 13 days.
The airport is working closely with airlines, control authorities, and service partners to provide a seamless experience.
Access to the Arrivals forecourts is restricted to authorised airport cars, thus dedicated car parks or valet services are suggested for those picking up guests from the airport. To avoid peak traffic, the airport recommends taking the Dubai Metro, taxis, ride-hailing apps, or renting a car.
DXB is well-prepared to meet the surge of travellers and provide a flawless experience, having retained its position as the world’s leading airport for international passenger traffic for the ninth straight year.
