Careem, a ride-hailing firm based in Dubai, has added a new “School Rides” option to its app, allowing parents to schedule trips for their children to and from school.
Currently, the service is only offered in Dubai, but the business intends to spread it. The function allows you to book personalised packages of 40 rides valid for three months, as well as arrange roundtrips and repeating rides at the same time every day.
Parents can also track each trip in real time using the app’s live tracking feature, and they will receive an alert once the trip is complete and their child has been securely dropped off at school.
For the service, Careem has worked with Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority.
