According to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum’s Dubai Can project, which launched in February 2022, the effort has resulted in a reduction in the consumption of more than one million 500 ml single-use plastic water bottles with the cooperation of the Dubai community.
The findings coincide with World Oceans Day, as the Dubai Can program urges communities, companies, residents, and visitors to make easy adjustments like utilizing reusable water bottles and public water stations, as well as installing water filters.
