The authorities will provide uninsured and low-income expats with affordable medicines in the UAE.
It has been reported that the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies and Axios have recently signed an appendix to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand the scope of the Hand in Hand initiative, which intends to provide uninsured and low-income expats with affordable medicines.
In December 2018, the MoU was signed and about 712 patients were eligible for the programme, which was extended in April to provide the patients with new medications.
