The Make a Wish Foundation announced that it fulfilled the wishes of 610 children from 31 nationalities suffering from dire medical conditions in 2021, noting it has fulfilled 5,000 wishes since its launch in 2010.

Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Honorary Chairperson and Life Patron of the “Make a Wish” Foundation UAE, and wife of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, said the 50th year has been an exceptional one, as many charity initiatives were launched, noting the foundation has fulfilled 5,000 wishes despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

The foundation has also achieved its 2021 strategy, fulfilling 610 wishes for 339 boys and 271 girls from 31 nationalities, she added, expressing her happiness at the foundation’s success in achieving its strategy. This is due to the UAE community’s culture of giving and ethics, as well as the support of Sheikhs, business leaders, companies, federal and local authorities and philanthropists.

Sheikha Sheikha stressed the foundation has fulfilled the wishes of 383 children in the UAE and 227 in Jordan.

“At the start of the country’s upcoming 50 years, we aim to strengthen the UAE’s overall achievements, most notably in the humanitarian sector. We look forward to forging further beneficial partnerships with public and private entities,” she further added.
