A man in his thirties, initially admitted to Khorfakkan Hospital with an irregular heartbeat, experienced a cardiac arrest and was successfully revived after 45 minutes.
Doctors administered 17 electric shocks and 15 doses of heart-stimulating adrenaline, treating a coronary artery thrombosis. Following a cardiac assessment, the patient was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and later to Fujairah Hospital for a coronary angiography procedure, which confirmed a 100% success rate in dissolving the clot.
After spending 8 days in treatment, including 2 days in the ICU, the patient was discharged in good health with prescribed medications and follow-up appointments.
