The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has taken action against two domestic worker recruiting businesses, Shamma Al Mahairi Domestic Workers Services Centre in Dubai and Al Barq Domestic Workers Services Centre in Ajman, for violating ministry norms.
The MoHRE has turned over the matter to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and action, emphasising the UAE’s commitment to defending the rights of domestic workers and employers.
The government has also advised the agencies to address the status of its employees as soon as possible and to clear any overdue penalties.
This move is part of the Ministry of Human Resources’ larger attempts to control domestic worker recruiting organisations and enforce strict adherence to labour rules. It sends a strong message to all government entities that they must follow the law, indicating the government’s commitment to fairness and justice for domestic workers and employers.
