The Clock Tower Roundabout Development Project in Deira has been completed, with Dubai Municipality investing AED10 million in revitalising this famous landmark.
The project, which will begin in May 2023, will combine architectural design and natural elements to revitalise the roundabout. A contemporary water fountain serves as the roundabout’s focal point. This project exemplifies Dubai’s commitment to preserve tradition while embracing modernity, as well as its creative energy. A multi-tiered water fountain with adjustable water management and colourful lights, as well as distinctive elements like precast concrete pebbled wash and three-dimensional design, are included in the development.
Ground Cover Sisifium, Washingtonia palms, and wildflowers have been used as sustainable components. The fountain’s design fits the architecture of the clock tower and includes clever sensors that change water jets dependent on wind conditions.
Furthermore, a new lighting system for national ceremonies and events has been introduced.
