The “Summer Team Games Tournament,” organised by the Dubai Sports Council, has 220 young athletes from four clubs in Dubai: Shabab Al-Ahli, Al-Nasr, Al-Wasl, and Hatta.
The competition, which lasts through August 24, 2023, consists of matches between 11:00 and 15:00 in the sports of handball, volleyball, and basketball.
The competitions take place at a number of locations: volleyball is played at Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Hall at Shabab Al-Ahli Club – Al-Nahda, while basketball is played in Rashid Bin Hamdan Hall at Al-Nasr Sports Club. The event fits in with the council’s plan to develop young talent, get teams ready for formal competitions, and provide players crucial match experience.
This programme helps Dubai clubs improve their young players while facilitating early sport season preparation.
