Dubai has established itself as one of the world’s least congested cities, outperforming major worldwide peers in its amazing ability to reduce traffic congestion.
According to a 2022 TomTom Report, Dubai is in the top 100 cities in terms of traffic flow. In compared to the cited cities, Dubai’s trip time was just 12 minutes per 10 kilometres, much less than the average of 21 minutes per 10 kilometres in those cities.
TomTom’s analysis included 390 cities from six continents and 56 nations.
According to the survey, Dubai surpassed major worldwide cities such as Los Angeles, Montreal, Sydney, Berlin, Rome, London, and Milan in terms of the average time necessary to drive 10 km in the Central Business District. With a pace of 36 minutes per 10 km, London was the worst-performing city in this category.
Notably, Almere in the Netherlands took first place, with an astounding 8 minutes every 10 km.
