Martina Tkadlec Strong was recently appointed by the White House as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates.
Strong is now the US embassy’s chargé d’affaires in Saudi Arabia.
She formerly worked as a Deputy Chief of Mission and ad hoc Chargé d’affaires at the US Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria.
She has also held the position of Minister Counsellor for Political and Political-Military Affairs at the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.
Strong has also worked in Poland, Prague, the Czech Republic, and Barbados.
She is fluent in Arabic, Czech, Polish, French, German, Russian, and Bosnian, among other languages.
