Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, participated in the joint meeting of ministers of education, within the G-20 summit hosted by the Republic of Indonesia.
The meeting discussed strategies for developing the quality of global education, digital technologies, international solidarity and cooperation, partnerships, and the future of education after the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his speech, Al Falasi confirmed that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, is a forerunner in supporting priorities and strengthening efforts by building constructive partnerships internationally to achieve the sustainability of education.
This will help face challenges and share success stories to develop the educational systems, and support common aspirations that contribute to the prosperity and well-being of the people and societies, he added.
He reiterated the support of the UAE leadership for international efforts in facing global challenges, which are in line with the UAE Centennial 2071, to chart UAE’s next fifty years, in preparing the future generations with future skills for a world-leading knowledgeable society.
The minister hoped that the summit will be a model for everyone to motivate their steps toward solidarity and partnerships and to serve as a roadmap that will guide the world to achieve future visions and sustainable education to ensure a better future for the next generations.
